The Division of Hospital Medicine consists of pediatricians who care for children hospitalized at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Our division has particular expertise in caring for pediatric inpatients with complex medical needs and technology dependence as well as in hospital operations and hospital quality and safety. The division contains several principal investigators at Seattle Children's Research Institute and engages in clinical, health service and quality of care research efforts. Finally, we teach fellows, residents, medical students, nurse practitioners and physician assistants on inpatient services at Seattle Children's Hospital.
Our hospitalists are doctors who specialize in providing care to children during their stay on the general medical floors at Seattle Children’s. The program was designed to provide both continuity of care for the patient and family and continuity of instruction for the residents.
