The Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia program, led by director Dr. Rebecca Stark, has recently announced the addition of a research director, Dr. Mihai Puia-Dumitrescu. This program, originally founded by Dr. Daniel Ledbetter, has continued to grow in terms of volume, with a dedication to research and development for future patients.
Dr. Puia-Dumitrescu is the Associate Medical Director of the NICU at Seattle Children's Hospital and Director of Clinical Research for the Division of Neonatology. Since joining the CDH Program, he has led multiple studies and provided innovative mentorship to team members.
This fall, under Dr. Puia-Dumitrescu and Dr. Stark's leadership, the Academic Enrichment Fund Review Committee has chosen to fund their 2-year study titled "Exploring Quality of Life for Survivors of CDH: A Prospective Cohort Study."
Congratulations Dr. Puia-Dumitrescu!
